This year’s edition of Sea Dance festival will be marked by a world exclusive, because, for the first time in its history, the famous Dance Arena will leave the fortress and come to one of the most beautiful beaches of the Adriatic! Together with the legendary EXIT Festival stage will come its spectacular production, as well as some of the biggest names in the history of electronic music. The main stars of this ultimate crew are Sven Vath, the global father of techno movement who was already announced earlier, joined by one of the most prominent electronic performers and three-times winner of the award for the best DJ in the world, Richie Hawtin! The performance at the Sea Dance Festival will be the first time this true techno icon and revolutionary and the person responsible for numerous technological innovations on the music scene visits Montenegro. Alongside him, another key member of the legendary Hawtin’s label Minus and resident of the biggest parties in the world Jon Gaiser will be arriving to the main stage.
One of the key names of the Dance Arena is coming to Sea Dance, but this time for the sea edition of another Exit’s cult stage, No Sleep! The program of this year’s sleepless stage at the beach, located right next to the sea, will be lead by the famous German producer Recondite, whose live performances are an experience for all the senses. His rich music oeuvre makes him one of the most sought-after performers in the world. Prominent domestic performers are always part of the No Sleep crew at the Sea Dance Festival and the first to join this year’s program are Darko Milošević, Tehno Klinika, Proximus, P.S., Sabinaa, Budo Šuković and Nikola Vuković, as well as the Croatian and regional techno scene legend Skeptik, better known as Pero Fullhouse.
Leader of the world techno scene, Richie Hawtin, will spin one of his timeless sets that have secured him the status of one of the greatest electronic artists in the world for the first time at the Montenegrin coast. A true innovator and founder of the Minus label, but also the cult Plus 8 label, Richie Hawtin, aside from music trends, is responsible for the development of the equipment that is used today by almost all leading DJ stars. His authenticity is reflected in his numerous aliases with which he “covers” his fantastic mix skills, and he is the most famous for the work of his famous alter-ego Plastikman who has released six albums, and the last one, “EX”, released in 2014, was inspired by Hawtin’s performance in Guggenheim museum. He participated in creating events such as the ENTER parties in 2012 at the famous Space club at Ibiza, he won DJ Awards three times, and his album “Decks, EFX & 909” is one of the most distinguished releases of the modern era. This great musician recently confirmed that he will publish the seventh studio release this year and that his fans should expect performances to remember!
Inspired by Hawtin’s innovation, Jon Gaiser, an American residing in Berlin also made a great leap in underground electronic music and became an integral part of the modern techno genre. Gaiser has always used the power of electronic music which resulted in his pioneering Minus projects, such as Contakt and CNTRL. He is one of the most popular residents of the ENTER series of parties which always bring inventive, live sets with accompanying modern visual effects. His discography is a proof that Gaiser isn’t scared to experiment, step out of assumed boundaries and seek new paths.
Good times at the seacoast will also be witnessed by Berlin-based producer Recondite, who was, as an artist with authentic expression, chosen by Richie Hawtin for the primary ENTER lineup. The intriguing producer, who uses nature as inspiration for his organic sound, has been for years at the very top of the Resident Advisor best live performers chart, and he also carries the title of “The Best Live Act” awarded by this music platform. His successful releases for Innervisions, LIfe & Death, Hotflush, Dystopian, Acid Test and Ghostly International are measured in millions of YouTube views, and regular performances in clubs such as Berghain, Fabric and Concrete brought him headlining positions at leading festivals such as Time Warp, Dekmantel, Melt!, Nuit Sonores and others.
The sixth Sea Dance will take place from Friday, August 30, to Sunday, September 1, at the hidden pearl that is the Buljarica beach in Budva. The performances have so far been confirmed by the most successful music producer of the 21st century and one of the most sought-after music performers in the world, David Guetta, the father of the global techno movement and three-times winner of the award for the best DJ in the world Sven Väth, leading German producer and DJ Robin Schulz and French club sensation, duo Ofenbach. Such regional aces as the great Darko Rundek, powerful Senidah and popular Balkan rap artists Surreal, Fox, Kuku$, Hazze and Bekfleš will also be present.
