Following articles in the media regarding a potential cancellation of the Sea Dance Festival due to the absence of agreed-upon state support, the biggest band in the region, Dubioza Kolektiv showed their support for the festival!
In a unique Instagram post, the band said loud and clear: STRONG SUPPORT FOR THE SEA DANCE FESTIVAL — WE ALL WANT TO DANCE! There’s no question about it: We wanna dance, come to Sea Dance!
The video accompanying the post was recorded by a pool, and the old Eurovision hit by Novi Fosili, “Ja sam za ples” (“I Wanna Dance”), served as the backing track, with new lyrics:
Seaside in Budva, in Montenegro, the stage is tall
But we’re not nervous because we’re invited to play rock’n’roll
The line-up is varied, diverse and wide-ranging, with techno and rap
There’s reggae and metal, as well as trap
I hear we’re being asked to perform at Sea Dance
I think that means that everybody wants to dance
I Wanna Dance
Come to Sea Dance!
Dubioza Kolektive is one of the headliners of this year’s Sea Dance, alongside big international and regional stars including Nina Kraviz, Anfisa Letyago, Ana Đurić Konstrakta, Senidah, Mahmut Orhan and Shouse. The eighth edition of the award-winning Montenegrin festival is planned to take place from August 26th to 28th at the well-known Buljarica beach near Budva.
