The first night of the Sea Dance festival exceeded the expectations of more than 12,000 festivalgoers on the crowded beach of Buljarica, and a new line-up is ready to step in and get the crowd dancing by the sea until morning! Tonight, the main festival stage will showcase a powerful combination of trap, global hits, house, and techno, brought by a line-up of international and regional stars led by the Italian duo Mind Against, the heroes of the recent EXIT festival Shouse, the undisputed trap queen of the Balkans, Senidah and the only DJ in the history of the Novi Sad festival to both open and close the Dance Arena Human Rias. One of the best female MCs in the region, Mimi Mercedez, will also perform on the main stage, along with Tam and Micka Lifa.
Last night’s opening had written a significant new page in the history of the biggest Montenegrin festival before it even started. Immense energy came from the headliners – Ana Đurić Konstrakta, the most sought-after act in the region having her premiere concert in Montenegro, one of the biggest techno stars today, Anfisa Letyago and the adored hitmaker Mahmut Orhan, techno maestros Marko Nastić and Ilija Djokovic, local heroes Who See and other local performers who threw a party to remember at the Together. Always! stage. All of them take home great impressions of the festival, along with the audience!
Ana Đurić Konstrakta, whose premiere performance had been awaited for a long time by Sea Dancers, filled the beach to the brim and once again delighted a regional and global audience. The energy the audience reciprocated led her to describe the performance as excellent! “This is my first time in Montenegro as Konstrakta, and getting this type of response from the audience always means a lovely concert. People showered me with bras, glasses, teddy bears, messages that I still haven’t had a chance to read, and a T-shirt that said Godstrakta! The EXIT spirit and enthusiasm are recognisable, but each festival in the EXIT family is specific. Sea Dance’s location is so beautiful that I regret that the festival does not take place during the day. This place is gorgeous,“ said Konstrakta.
Mahmut Orhan made the whole beach dance during his set, and after the performance, he was full of impressions: “I have already been to Montenegro, but after this performance, I am even more delighted with it. The stage is just a few meters from the sea, and that generates a feeling that other locations can’t. Thank you, Sea Dancers!“
Anfisa Letyago’s set, which techno fans heard for the first time, raised the atmosphere to another level and remained at that level until dawn. “This was an unforgettable night! Every set feels like the first, especially in a location like this, by the sea, and in front of an audience like this. I gave them a lot of energy, and they returned the favour, so everything was great; I feel like I’m on vacation, not at work, “ Anfisa shared her impressions after the set.
The opening of the festival was also attended by the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, who said that he thinks Sea Dance brings a cosmopolitan spirit. “I met people from America, Israel, Europe, and the entire region, and I believe that the world came to Budva to enjoy top music,“ said Abazović.
The president of the municipality of Budva Milo Božović said that the festival looks excellent and is moving forward every year. “Almost until the last day, nobody knew whether the festival would take place, but we found a way, I think the festival is even better than last year, and we are moving on,“ said Božović.
